Inthrallis – Chapter 57

How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?

I’m not going to be lectured by a stuffed suit White House mouthpiece standing behind a podium.

We have an electorate that doesn’t always pay that much attention to what’s going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or truth or what’s happening.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I know we live in troubled times.”

There was a shout, a few murmurs, and many nodding of heads.

“How are we to contend with things as they are? You heard…heck the news can’t stop talking about it…you heard I am sure about the so-called ‘Rapture Witness’ situation. There was another instance, just this past week. A man walked into a hospital and just stopped talking.

“And they call it a disease…

Booing from all corners.

“Do you think doctors know what this is?”

“NO!”

“Do you think the FBI knows what this is?”

“No!”

“Do you think the Department of Homeland…’Security…’ knows what this is?”

“No!”

“Who does know what this is?”

“God.”

“That’s right, I heard some of you. Can we get it louder. C’mon. Let’s hear some of you… you quiet ones on the front row!”

“God.”

“Louder!”

“God!”

“I-can’t-hear-yooooo….”

“GOD!”

“Amen, brothers and sisters. This is no disease. This is…what?…It’s a message to end idolatry. It’s a message to end greed. It’s a message to end all sorts of…lustful behavior that runs against the Law of Our Landlord. He has sent notice. He has sent us a message via a messenger. He has reminded us that for too long we worshipped at the altars of Wall Street–and he took it away. Now he reminds us that we also look to our leaders for answers that are beyond them… beyond their ken.

“And now he only asks that we return to His bosom and feel the joy of His love that comes from the every Word from the Mouth of God.”

There were cheers that lasted several minutes. Dick Cain stepped away from the podium to illustrate that he had nothing more to say for now.
